ASF Biennial Conference No 9 - 1972
"Nibicon"

The 9th ASF Biennial Conference - Nibicon - was held in Sydney at the University of New South Wales over the period 26th - 30th December 1972. Field trips were arranged to Jenolan, Yarrangobilly, Cliefden and Bungonia, and summaries of these were to be written up in club journals. A Fieldbook reporting on the various trips (but primarily for Jenolan) was publilshed in an issue of the Bulletin of the Sydney University Speleological Society (Vol.15.No.7).

Quotes for producing the proceedings were arranged and an ISBN granted, however no proceedings were ever produced. The ASF Library holds a box of presentation notes and correspondence, some draft programs, registration forms, some organising committee reports, photos from the photography competition, and fragments of circulars. The papers are mostly in the form of draft notes or transcribed notes (and are listed here in the rough order they were presented). They have been catalogued as a set of notes and are stored in the ASF Library Archives.
