Wombat skeleton

This complete sketeton of a wombat is located in a small chamber inside Bushrangers' Cave.

Recent studies suggest that the wombat became trapped in the cave perhaps five hundred years ago and simply starved

to death. Scratch marks on the wall show the wombats desparate attempts to claw its way out of the cave.

The skeleton remains in the cave undisturbed.
