The Entrance to Grove Cave was discovered in the early 1840's, but this small cave was not fully explored

until 1897 when Jeremiah Wilson from Jenolan Caves visited Abercrombie Caves to take a look around.

This old wooden gate was still in use until the early 1990's when it was replaced with a custom made steel gate
