Hall of Terpsichore (The Dance Hall)
The Goldminers Dance Platform was built by local miners in 1880 and was used for all of their
social activities. The decking is tongue and grooved baltic pine and the bearers are locally cut ironbark.
Many of the original hand-made nails can still be seen in the decking.
The platform is still used for musical concerts, wedding ceremonies and "Carols in the Caves"
