Spider Webs

Spider webs cover the entire roof of the Abercrombie Archway giving a very strange mottled effect

The "sheet web" spider (badumna socialis) is rare and only found in a few caves such as Jenolan and Wombeyan.

Abercrombie Caves has the largest colony of Sheet web spiders.

"Sheet webs" resemble the common black house spider and are harmless.
