Fully guided trips have a guide in each 2 person inflatable kayak.

These special trips are perfect for families and small groups who want to experience the thrill of white water kayaking with maximum safety and enjoyment. The costs are higher than the 'paddle on your own' trips as they have only 2 guides per group. Get a group together EMail or phone us and we will supply full booking details.

We have taken 9 to 65 year olds on these trips; all you need is a sense of adventure, an average level of fitness, no major medical problems and a love of the great outdoors. All trips are designed to be non-extreme, fun white water adventures. Once we are on the river there is only one way out, as there is no road access except for the Susa one day.

ONE DAY Khong River to Susa Waterfalls ADVENTURE: Depart at 9 am. for the 45 minute drive to the Khong river. This river has lots of grade 1 & 2 rapids (very easy). After an hour or so we reach the Lang River junction and have a snack break by this small side stream. From here to the beautiful Susa waterfalls it’s another hour and a half with plenty of small rapids. At Susa there will be plenty of time to swim, explore the falls and walk up to the entrance of Susa Cave (15 minutes each way), while the crew boils the kettle and prepare lunch.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EXPLORE THIS CAVE AS DEADLY CO2 LEVELS CAN CHANGE VERY QUICKLY.
At 4 pm. it’s into the pick up vehicle for the 1 hour ride back to the Cave Lodge. This trip runs only in the dry season from November to May.

ONE DAY KHONG-PAI RIVER ADVENTURE: Depart Cave Lodge at 8 a.m. On the river at 9 a.m. Arrive in Mae Hong Son at approx 4 p.m.- around 6 hours spent on the river. The first 2 hours on the Khong river has fast flowing water with grade 1 & 2 rapids. After lunch at the spectacular Susa Waterfalls we reach the Pai river and the fun really begins with numerous grade 2 wave trains (white water roller ride coaster rides) mixed with several grade 3 rapids. This trip runs only in the peak of the wet season from July to October.

TWO DAY KHONG-PAI RIVER ADVENTURE: Same as one day but you spend the night camped by the Khong river. Depart the lodge at 10 a.m. and arrive M.H.S. at 3p.m. This trip runs all year round, with less challenging water levels between October & May.

THREE DAY PAI RIVER ADVENTURE: Three days of wilderness, wildlife and fun. Departs Cave Lodge at 8 a.m. (can pick up in Pai at 9.30 a.m.). This trip only runs between November & May and has it all- spectacular scenery, abundant wild life (monkeys, pythons, water lizards, masses of bird life), ancient rock art and hot springs. You camp beside the Pai river, the first night on a beach heated by a hot spring, the second by a crystal clear side stream.
