Contains all national point data of Protected Areas with IUCN classification I through VI and a 'Designated' status.
In the IUCN field, each Protected Area is designated one of the following: Ia, Ib, II, III, IV, V, or VI. In the STATUS field, each Protected Area is listed as: Designated, Extended/Reduced, Reclassified, or Adjustment. Colored points on the map represent Protected Areas as seen in the legend.
This is the most complete list available as all established ('Designated') protected areas of IUCN category I to VI are included, even those who do also have a polygon representation.
